For father's day me and P cooked dinner. We decided to make a Bengali dish in reminiscence of N's Culcutta days. I looked online for Bengali vegetable recipes and came across an interesting dish: Aloo Posto. Posto means poppy seeds.
Aloo Posto
Soak poppy seeds in water for a couple of hours
Boil potatoes--I did so in the microwave
Grind the poppy seeds with some water and a couple of green chills
In oil:
Cumin seeds + chopped onions + lots of turmeric + potatoes + poppy seeds paste
Keep on heat for sometime and then switch off.
Done!
