This morning Amma and Nana asked me to make some upma. P hates upma in general. But he tolerates rava upma. Personally I like rava upma (tella nooka upma) with tomatoes and onions--so I decided to make Tomato Bath.
S also dislikes much like P...he personally prefers semiya upma. I will try semiya upma the next time I will make upma.
In the future I am gonna see if I can convert him towards other upmas also ;)
Tomato Bath:
In oil add:
Jeeda Pappulu + mustard seeds + yellow gram + black gram + ginger + green chillies + onions + tomatoes + turmeric + water
Once that starts boiling add in the rava. When adding the rava, add quickly and mix everything very fast to ensure that no balls form. Also add in some more oil or ghee before adding the rava.
Measurements for water and rava:
For a cup of rava add in 3 cups of water.
I used 1.5 cups of rava for the 4 of us and added 5 cups of water.
